iPet Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming & Salon Management
Over 32 days, this course can take complete novices through to becoming a qualified and professional dog groomer. Covering all the skills, techniques and methods a groomer will need. If your ambition is to become a professional dog groomer and start your career with the strongest of foundations, this is the course for you. Learning in our fully equipped and modern training school, our tutor will guide you through our trusted training programme and assist you in gaining a nationally and industry recognised qualification in dog grooming. Grooming a minimum of 20 dogs, covering 6 coat types to kick start your grooming career with confidence.
About this course
Students will be trained in practical skills which will include coat prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping and nail trimming and the qualification course includes hand-stripping which will include silky and wire coated breeds.

There are no pre-requisites to starting the qualification, meaning candidates can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first.

- 303: Customer Care and Managing Complaints
- 304: Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
- 305: Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour
- 306: Prepare, Style and Finish a range of Dog Breeds
- 307: Canine Emergency First Aid
- 308: Planning the Operation of a Small Canine Business
During the course, you are continually assessed in the salon via practical demonstration and coursework, meaning you don’t have to sit a daunting exam in order to achieve the qualification.
Our aim is to improve industry standards by ensuring you are competent to groom a variety of breeds.
The iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management, is a formal, regulated and nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout your career and can only be achieved by reaching the required skill level. It has been designed specifically for those looking to become professional dog groomers, or those who already groom dogs (as a hobby or career) but do not currently hold a nationally recognised qualification.
This course and qualification is available to those from the UK and internationally, who are able to attend our grooming school for the practical training element.
