iPet Network Level 3 Certificate in Dog Grooming and Introduction to Styling
On this course, you will be trained in practical skills such as prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping and nail trimming. With a variety of breeds.
No previous experience is required. Once you have gained this qualification, you can continue your studies and move onto the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management and gain your ‘Fully Qualified Dog Groomer’ status.
About this course
If grooming to a great standard is your aim, this is the course for you. Attending the Underdog Training Academy, you will groom a minimum of 10 dogs and cover 4 different coat types. This is a fantastic start to any grooming career with hands on, practical training from the start. This course is ideal for anyone wanting to build solid foundations in their grooming ability and gain experience alongside knowledgeable tuition from our friendly tutor. To be classified as a fully qualified, professional dog groomer we recommend the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management course. However, by achieving this certificate which can be more budget friendly, achievers can go on to gaining more practical experience and be eligible for the Diploma route after 12 months.

There are no pre-requisites to starting the qualification, meaning candidates can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first.

- 302: Promote the Welfare of Dogs conforming with Relevant Legislation
- 304: Assess and Plan Dog Grooming Styles and Maintenance of Equipment
- 305: Health Checking, Handling and Canine Behaviour
- 317: Prepare, Style and Finish a Selection of Dog Breeds
Uniquely with iPet Network candidates are continually assessed via practical demonstration and coursework. There is no requirement to sit a formal exam in order to achieve the qualification.
